I made this pillow using vintage 1970's sheeting and an old embroidered doily which had seen better days. I combined two different fabrics and I loved the way it came out. Perfect for adding some zest to your spring décor!
- The front of the pillow is made with a pastel floral (sheeting faric) and a piece taken from a damaged embroidered doily. Colors include: pinks, greens, yellows. There also is a bit of lavender, blue and brown. Please note that the background is not pure white, but more on the beige side.
- Please note that there is a bit of staining on the old doily that I used. I pointed out one area in my little video.
- The backing is envelope style using the same floral as the front.
- The fabric is most likely a cotton/poly blend, but it has a luxurious soft feel.
- This pillow is a 14" size and will fit on a standard 14" insert.
- You have the option to purchase the pillow cover only or to purchase the cover and insert as a complete pillow. I have used feather down pillow inserts for the photographs. If you choose to purchase the pillow cover with insert, that is what you will receive.
- This pillow cover can be machine washed.
- All of the pillow covers for sale here at Smokin’ Tweed are made using a serger machine and reinforcement stitches are added inside the back flaps for extra durability. All pillow covers are approximately 1 inch smaller than the size stated so that when the pillow forms are inserted, the covers fit snugly and don’t sag.
