Houndstooth Harris Tweed Vest, Vintage Piece - Sz XS, Tiny

A fitted, wool tweed vest for your winter wardrobe. This was once a houndstooth blazer and now has been altered into a vest/waistcoat. It is a 1970's Harris Tweed. I was delighted to come across this.

Wear this to dress up or down, it doesn't matter. It's one of a kind, altered by me, into a timeless piece that's a little bit more versatile than the blazer jacket it once was.

- Vintage by Civity Clothes, using a Harris Tweed. Probably 1980's or '90's. Made in England.
- 100% wool tweed.
- The fabric is a multicolored houndstooth, which includes shades of olive, brown, tan and white.
- Features pockets at the hip areas.
- Three button closure at front.
- Sleeves have been removed and I have hand sewed a printed cotton bias tape inside of the armholes to create this vest.
- Fully lined in olive nylon.
- This vest will come to you dry cleaned and ready to wear.
- This is a one of a kind piece!
- This vest is designed to fit snugly.
- There are several flaws in the wool. I have pointed out a small hole in one of the photos. There are a few of these but they are hard to notice. They should not compromise the function of the vest. They are hard to notice due to the busy houndstooth, so I wouldn't worry about them. This is the challenge with vintage garments. You hardly ever find anything perfect.
-The label states no size. Since we all know that vintage garments run small, I suggest you check measurements before considering.

Measurements while buttoned up:
Chest (armpit to armpit across bust): 16” or 32" around.
Length (from neck to bottom at the back of the vest): 25.5”
Waist: 14” or 28" around.
